For those who have gone out of their way to find me at this blog, I will reward you with information that I wouldn’t otherwise normally share with my clients.  Not because I have anything to hide, but because I just don’t have time to share all my interests with you when I’m also trying to diagnose why Fluffy painted your living room with diarrhea.

So here are some little (or less) known facts about me:

• I never wanted to be a veterinarian when I was a kid.  I wanted to become an electrical engineer.  But after volunteering at Westside Veterinary Center in New York City in 1992, I turned all of that upside down.
• I didn’t get my first dog until I was 31 years old.  When I grow up, I may get another one.
• I try to attend The New Orleans Jazz and Heritage Festival (aka Jazz Fest) every year.  It’s good for the soul, but bad for my cholesterol.
• I’ve been to 38 Dave Matthews concerts in 6 different states.
• I was allergic to dogs as a little kid.  My parents had a Pekingnese that also tried to attack me (we were both very food aggressive).  They had to give that dog away to a friend, even though she was there before me.
• I’m allergic to mangoes.
• I love cars, both new and old.  I dream about having a 2009 Audi R8, but I’d be almost as happy with a 1983 Datsun 280ZX.
• Clowns really scare me.
• I became a certified scuba diver in 2006.  Shortly thereafter I discovered that I get seasick not only on small boats, but also when swimming/diving in shallow waters (under 10 feet).
• I’m a self-taught computer geek and put together this blog site in one lazy Sunday afternoon.  Most of my friends from undergrad are professional computer geeks and make a lot of money doing things much more complicated than creating websites and writing blogs.
